Responsibilities
  • Recruitment…
  • Advertising for vacancies
  • Arranging interviews and feedback
  • Issue offer documentation
  • DBS Checks
  • Checking eligibility to work in the UK
  • Obtaining references
  • General HR…
  • Payroll – Check Payroll for any anomalies and authorise sign off
  • Liaise with staff / managers to resolve any payroll queries
  • Monitor probation periods and offer documentation
  • Create contracts of employment
  • Issue contractual change letters (mainly regarding change of hours)
  • Monitor expiration of Right to Work dates and undertake process to renew or dismiss
  • Deal with acceptance or resignations
  • Issue grievance and disciplinary letters as appropriate
  • Advise on generalist HR issues, using FSB as necessary for more complicated issues (e.g. redundancy)
  • Issue salary review letters
  • Liaise with East Sussex Apprenticeship scheme as appropriate (once or twice a year)
