Tax Advisor and Compliance

Our client is looking for a confident and proactive Tax Adviser to join a busy and collaborative team. This is a varied role covering tax advice, compliance, and planning - primarily across IHT, CGT, income tax, and trusts, with additional exposure to payroll taxes and Stamp Duty Land Tax. The ideal candidate will be motivated, client-focused, and comfortable working across multiple tax areas with a problem-solving mindset.

• Job type: Permanent
• Hybrid working: 2 days per week from home, 3 in office
• Location: Bexhill
• Salary: £42-55kp/a
• Hours: Full time

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising on a broad range of tax matters for individuals and trusts
• Supporting tax partners on client-facing planning and advisory work
• Reviewing work and providing guidance to junior team members
• Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns, IHT returns, CGT reporting
• Contributing to projects involving HNW individuals, Lloyd’s underwriters, and trust clients
• Occasionally advising business clients on tax issues within a general practice context

Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:

• ATT or CTA qualified (or equivalent experience)
• Strong technical tax knowledge (experience across IHT, CGT, and income tax is key)
• Confident communicator – especially in written tax advice
• Motivated, organised, and able to manage deadlines across a varied workload
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
