Warehouse Yard Operative

Our client, a successful and growing business, are looking for a Warehouse Yard Operative to join their time. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid experience in a fast-moving yard environment. The successful candidate will support the operational team by ensuring all yard-based activity runs smoothly, from equipment prep and cleaning to stock control and loading.

Key Responsibilities:

• Move equipment around the yard and site areas
• Get machines ready and clean them using the right tools
• Pick stock and pack orders for delivery
• Load and unload vehicles safely using a forklift
• Keep the yard and warehouse clean and safe
• Check stock regularly and ensure it is stored correctly
• Enter basic info into the system to track tasks
• Spot damaged or used items and report them for repair
• Fill out forms to track equipment moved between sites

Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• A valid forklift licence would be beneficial, or at least some experience with forklifting
• A full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
• A good level of physical fitness and stamina
• Competence in using basic IT systems
• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong understanding of health and safety protocols
