As March comes to a close, we’re delighted to share the success of our participation in the March the Month challenge for Prostate Cancer UK. Throughout the month, our team took on the challenge of walking 11,000 steps each day to raise awareness and funds for this vital cause.
We are proud that through the collective effort of everyone involved, we raised a total of £554. This achievement is a testament to the commitment of our amazing team who put in the effort day after day. It hasn’t always been easy – in fact, many of us were surprised by just how challenging it could be! With work, family commitments, and our busy daily routines, there were days when hitting that step goal seemed like an uphill task, but with the support and encouragement from friends, family, clients, and candidates, we kept moving and made sure we completed the challenge.
Throughout the month, we remained focused on our cause, keeping in mind the 11,000 men who lose their lives to prostate cancer each year. We were determined to do our part and raise as much as we could to support prostate cancer research, offer vital provision to those affected, and ultimately contribute to the fight to stop men from losing their lives to this disease.
What made the challenge even more enjoyable was the internal competition that emerged. Everyone was pushing themselves to not only hit the target but to outperform one another! There was a healthy spirit of rivalry, and it was great to see how much everyone enjoyed the process despite the physical effort involved. We are delighted to share that as a team, we collectively walked an astounding 3,912,624 steps across the month.
A special shoutout goes to our internal leaderboard! Congratulations to our top three team members who showed exceptional dedication throughout our step count challenge:
- 1st place – Ruth (445,990 steps)
- 2nd place – Ben (396,730 steps)
- 3rd place – Harriet (333,486 steps)
These individuals led the charge, but it’s important to note that every single person who participated has made a significant contribution to our success. This journey has reminded us of the importance of working together as a team for something greater than ourselves. We couldn’t have done this without all the walkers, supporters, and contributors who helped make this campaign so successful.
Thank you again to everyone who donated – we are incredibly grateful for your generosity and for being part of this important cause.
Here’s to many more steps and continued progress in the fight against prostate cancer. Together, we are making a difference.
