Internal Customer Account Manager
Location: Aldershot
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (1-hour lunch break)
We are recruiting on behalf of a long-established, profitable, and growing business looking to expand their team. We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Internal Customer Account Manager to join the Account Management department for this excellent company. This role will support the Director in managing key accounts, establishing initial contact with new customers, and providing exceptional service to both existing and prospective clients.
As an Internal Customer Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, and ensuring that all client needs are met promptly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
- Use commercial aptitude from a previous sales or buying role to identify a customer’s potential requirements
- Manage customer orders and prepare quotations to secure business, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Monitor key account customer ranges against competitors and identify areas where they can develop business opportunities
- Conduct regular follow-up communications with clients
- Prepare compelling presentations and proposals that effectively communicate the value of products/services, driving growth and long-term client engagement
Key requirements:
- Proven experience in an internal sales, account management, or commercial buying role
- A strong understanding of sales processes, with the ability to quickly identify customer requirements and propose relevant solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and senior management
- Passion for customer service with a proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining strong client relationships
- Able to work effectively as part of a team, while also being self-motivated and independent in managing own workload
