Night Shift Machine Assistant

Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking to step up and take on more responsibility? We are seeking a dependable and proactive Machine Assistant to support the smooth and efficient running of a night shift production line in a well-established and fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with the Machine Supervisor, supporting the wider team and acting as a key point of contact on the shop floor.

What’s on Offer?

• 12-month Fixed Term Contract
• Location: Farnham, Surrey
• Salary: £40k per annum
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00pm – 6:00am

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with machine setup, calibration, and basic troubleshooting
• Monitor production runs to ensure quality and output targets are met
• Support the Machine Supervisor in coordinating the shift’s workflow
• Perform regular checks and adjustments to maintain smooth machine operation
• Help train and guide newer team members on machinery use and safety procedures
• Record and report any faults or production issues promptly
• Promote and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance across the line

Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:

• Previous experience operating machinery in a production or manufacturing setting
• Strong awareness of machine safety and operational standards
• A hands-on approach with the confidence to support junior team members
• Good attention to detail and a methodical mindset
• Reliable
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow clear processes
