Tax Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Management Accountant to join a well-established business based in Central Hailsham. This is a great opportunity for a finance professional with strong experience in tax and self-assessment, looking to develop their career further within a supportive and structured environment.

This role would suit a motivated individual with a solid understanding of accountancy practices and a focus on client service.

• Location: Central Hailsham
• Salary: Flexible, dependent on experience
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Hours: Monday–Thursday 9am–5pm, Friday 8am–4pm (1-hour lunch break)
• Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and submission of tax returns and self-assessments
• Managing tax affairs for a diverse portfolio of clients
• Supporting with year-end accounts and relevant financial documentation
• Liaising with clients and HMRC as required
• Ensuring all compliance and regulatory deadlines are met

Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:

• Experience in handling tax and self-assessment duties
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload
• A proactive approach with a desire to progress professionally
• Part-qualified or qualified candidates welcome; study support can be offered
