Our client is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join its small, dedicated Customer Service Team. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate order processing, excellent communication, and end-to-end customer support within a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing customer orders from initial enquiry through to invoicing, ensuring accuracy at every stage. The role involves frequent communication with internal departments, logistics partners and suppliers, as well as providing customers with essential product and documentation support.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate entry and review of customer orders and contracts
- Preparing professional quotations and associated paperwork
- Managing telephone enquiries and providing a responsive service
- Coordinating with suppliers regarding product availability
- Sharing technical and safety documentation with customers
- Working closely with warehouse/production teams on dispatch priorities
- Liaising with transport partners to meet delivery expectations
- Maintaining organised records, including order files, dispatch notes and PODs
- Prioritising a varied workload to meet strict deadlines
- Communicating with international suppliers and customers across time zones
- Ensuring all documentation is accurate and aligned with internal quality standards
- Handling changing customer requirements while maintaining service levels
Essential:
- Strong keyboard and IT skills
- Clear and confident telephone manner
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Previous experience in customer service or a similar environment
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Additional language skills
- Experience within a technical, manufacturing or distribution setting
