Our client is a growing manufacturer within the building products sector, supplying high quality solutions to customers across the UK. With a strong focus on efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction, they are now looking to recruit a Yard / Goods-In-Goods-Out Operative to support their expanding operations.

This is a hands-on, vital role within the yard and factory environment, ideal for someone organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced setting.

What’s on Offer?

  • Job type: Full-time, permanent
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Salary: Up to £14 per hour, plus overtime and bonus scheme
  • Holiday: 20 days per annum plus bank holidays

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage goods in and goods out efficiently and accurately
  • Receive, check, and dispatch materials in line with company processes
  • Maintain accurate stock records using Excel spreadsheets and MRP systems
  • Complete all paperwork and documentation correctly and on time
  • Carry out regular cycle counts across multiple stock locations
  • Own and organise the yard and stock holding areas
  • Operate a forklift safely and in line with company standards
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the yard and factory
  • Follow established procedures and contribute to continuous improvement

Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or goods-in/goods-out role
  • Forklift licence (essential)
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with paperwork and stock control
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel for regularly updated spreadsheets
  • Good communication and language comprehension skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise daily tasks
  • Reliable, safety conscious, and process-driven
