Radiology Booking Officer

We are currently looking for an experienced Booking Officer that can maximise appointment, ensure the smooth running of the reception area, and utilise booking systems to manage appointments.
Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to hold a Standard DBS.

About the Role:

• Communicate with patients in a sensitive, confidential and tactful manner; some of the issues can be of a complex and contentious nature
• Work closely with the Administration Team Leader, Consultants, Superintendents and Senior Medical Staff, Sonographers and Radiographers to contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the team
• Work as part of the team with effective communication between all parties concerned
• Plan own work for the day to utilise all appointment spaces efficiently taking into account last minute availability and cancellations so that there are no wasted appointments
• To accurately use department computer systems, inputting data and retrieving information as necessary

• Competent in a range of packages including MS Word and MS Excel
• Experience of working with people both over the phone and face to face
• Flexible attitude to work rotation Confidence to work on own initiative
• Able to plan work, set priorities
• Ability to concentrate for long periods maintaining accuracy
• Previous experience of working in a caring situation
