TIG Welder – Bexhill

Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled TIG Welder to join their team in Bexhill. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on individual with a background in TIG welding, ideally within the vacuum industry, who thrives on solving problems, improving processes, and developing both personal and team capability.

What’s on Offer?

• Job type: Full time, permanent
• Location: Bexhill
• Pay rate: £17 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Weld viewport assemblies and other TIG work.
• Build the skills required to supervise the Hermetics Cell.
• Learn the brazing and bonding processes conducted by the company.
• Oversee leak-testing, bakeouts, and RGA activities.
• Collaborate with the Quality Department to address quality issues and implement improvements.
• Ensure all activities in the Hermetics Cell comply with safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
• Provide training and guidance to apprentices and other team members.

Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:

• Proven TIG welding experience, ideally within the vacuum industry.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Willingness to learn brazing, bonding, and leak-testing techniques.
• Ability to follow strict safety and quality procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to improvement and development.
