Press Brake Operator – Robertsbridge

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator to join their manufacturing team on the evening shift. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabrication professional with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Job type: Full time, permanent
Location: Robertsbridge
Hours: Monday to Friday, 13:45 – 22:00 (41.25 hours per week)
Salary: £14.41 – £15.93 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the press brake machine to manufacture components to specification
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and complete machine logs accurately
  • Manage workloads effectively and record all work on provided time sheets
  • Read, interpret, and work from issued engineering drawings
  • Sign off completed work to the required standard
  • Report any health, safety, or process issues to management
  • Assist with goods in/out processes as required
  • Maintain high standards of workshop housekeeping
  • Operate the laser cutter when required
  • Undertake any additional tasks as directed by the Production Manager or Director

Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a fabrication workshop environment
  • Experience operating steel machinery (press brake, laser machines, milling machines, or lathes)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Self-disciplined with strong time management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work priorities
  • Friendly and team-oriented disposition
  • Full valid UK driving licence required
