Electrician

Our client is seeking an experienced Approved Electrician to join their growing team. The successful candidate will join a skilled electrical department delivering a mix of maintenance, minor works, installations, and testing activities. This role suits someone who is motivated, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

What’s on Offer?

• Job type: Full-time, permanent
• Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 per annum (DOE)
• Location: Hastings
• Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
• Holiday entitlement: 22 days plus UK statutory Bank Holidays (increasing with service)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical maintenance, minor repairs, and fault finding across a range of environments.
• Complete minor works and electrical installation projects to a high standard.
• Undertake testing and inspection activities where required.
• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance issues efficiently.
• Work with internal systems to complete documentation and certification accurately.
• Maintain compliance with company procedures and recognised regulations at all times.

Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within an electrical installation role.
• Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or demonstrable time-served experience.
• Experience working in industrial, commercial, and domestic environments.
• Strong understanding of current wiring regulations.
• Experience with single and three-phase installations and distribution systems.
• Installation of cable management systems including conduit, trunking, and cable tray.
• Proven ability to accurately diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
• Experience with emergency and escape lighting systems.
• Installation of lighting and power systems.
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
