DBS Kitchen Porter

Our client is seeking a reliable and flexible Kitchen Assistant to support their catering team on an ad hoc basis at a site based in Hastings. This role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude, good teamwork skills, and an enhanced DBS certificate who is looking for flexible working opportunities.

You will be assisting in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, supporting food preparation, service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.



What’s on Offer?

• Job type: Ad hoc / temporary shifts
• Location: Hastings
• Pay rate: £13.15 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic food preparation and service
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
• Follow all food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
• Ensure stock is stored correctly and rotation procedures are followed
• Wash up and ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy
• Follow instructions from the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor

Skills, Experience, and Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one (required)
• Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or hospitality environment preferred
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts
• Ability to work well as part of a team
