Senior Contractor - Pensions Administration Systems Developer

This is a hands-on contract opportunity for an experienced developer who can work independently, engage with stakeholders, and deliver high-quality technical solutions in a complex Defined Benefit pensions environment.


The Role

• Integrate a third-party calculation engine with oPen and/or IntelliPen
• Develop XML interfaces and XSLT transformations
• Enhance calculation posting routines and administration functionality
• Modify screens and user interfaces to support new calculation outputs
• Work closely with business users, technical teams and external suppliers
• Support testing, implementation and technical documentation

About You

• Proven development experience with oPen and/or IntelliPen
• Strong skills in XML, XSLT, SQL Server and Stored Procedures
• Solid Defined Benefit pensions knowledge
• Understanding of GMP Equalisation (GMPE) and pension calculations
• Experience delivering complex systems integrations and enhancements
• Able to work autonomously and contribute from day one
