MOT Technician

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced MOT Technician to join a reputable independent garage based in Hindhead. With a strong local reputation for delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service, the business is looking to welcome a skilled technician to its close-knit team.
Working alongside a close-knit team, you will play a key role in carrying out MOT testing, servicing, and vehicle repairs, ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop to the highest standard. The garage offers same-day MOT appointments, providing a varied and steady workload in a well-organised workshop.

What's on Offer?

• £40,000 – £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Permanent, full-time position
• Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
• No weekend working

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards
• Perform servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a range of vehicles
• Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repair solutions
• Complete all work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality
• Ensure all documentation and inspection records are accurately maintained
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure an efficient workshop operation
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A valid Class 4 MOT Tester licence
• Previous experience as an MOT Technician or Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• Excellent mechanical knowledge across a variety of vehicle makes and models
• A proactive and professional approach to your work
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
