Harriet built her career in the healthcare industry working her way up to launching & managing organisations including SME’s, franchises & entities within the NHS, until eventually owning a multi-site domiciliary care business. Within the Group, Harriet brings expertise in operational leadership, strategic development, hiring, branding, marketing, & IT, while ensuring strong awareness of the competitive landscape, expansion opportunities & industry developments.

Martyn Smith

Chairman

Martyn has extensive experience of financial management and acquisitions, having worked as Finance Director/CFO for large public companies. He has both personally managed large and small acquisitions, with a particular emphasis on post-deal integration. He has strong expertise in funding and working capital management in particular, and is a FCCA and has a Masters in Finance. Martyn’s experience is a strong fit for executing Sammons evolving growth strategy.

Sarah Bergin-McCarthy

Managing Director

Head of Pensions Division at the Sammons Recruitment Group, Sarah joined the Group in 1994. Sarah has vast experience throughout her years in recruitment from Accountancy and Investment Banking to Pensions. Now leading and expanding the Pensions Division and specialising in recruitment of Management to Director level roles, In-house, Consultancy, Third Party and niche specialist.

Joanne Whittington

Director

Director of Sammons Pensions Recruitment, Joanne has been a part of the Group since 2004. Specialising in recruiting In-house opportunities from Pensions Administrators through to Pensions Managers and Pensions IT specialists, throughout the UK. Joanne works both for clients searching for new team members and candidates looking to make the next step in their career.

Ben Christensen

Recruitment Manager

Joining the Group in 2004, Ben led the Sammons Support division recruiting for Public Sector clients including Charities, Central Government and the Royal Household. Transitioning into Sammons Pensions Recruitment in 2011 Ben specialises in recruiting to Third Party Administration and Consultancy markets across the UK and internationally, including recent placements in Malta and Gibraltar.

Niamh McCarthy-Jones

Senior Recruitment Consultant

Senior Recruitment Consultant in Sammons Pensions Recruitment, Niamh joined the Company in 2017, specialising in national recruitment campaigns for Third Party Administration and Consultancy. Niamh has a particular focus in placing Administration and IT professionals, working with both clients searching for top talent and candidates progressing their careers.

Jennifer Megafu

Joining our Pensions team in 2023 with almost 10 years’ experience within IT, Finance and Banking Recruitment, and a background in Marketing and PR prior to this, Jennifer now focusses her time in supporting both our clients and clients with SIPP/SSAS vacancies, within the Pensions industry.

Matt Vincent

Recruitment Consultant

Starting out his career in Recruitment as an apprentice, Matt joined our Pensions team in 2024 bringing with him a wealth of experience in recruiting for roles within Accounting and Finance.

Using this knowledge, Matt now focuses on Pensions Accounting roles and works alongside our Third Party Administration and Consultancy team, placing Pensions Administration professionals.

Caroline Parish

Returning to Sammons Pensions Recruitment in January 2020, Caroline is at the core of our operations, providing on-going office support to each of our Consultants in the Pensions division, while overseeing marketing and advertising for the whole team.

Taylor Patey

After temporarily joining the Company in 2020, Taylor demonstrated a real enthusiasm for recruitment and progressed into a Permanent role within the Pensions team. Working alongside Caroline, Taylor provides on-going office and administrative support to each of our Consultants, while deepening her knowledge of the industry, developing further skills and advancing her recruitment career.

Cathrine Gwyer-Pimm

Cathrine began her career at our Farnham office in 2012 and is now leads our Generalist Division. Having assisted clients with Permanent, Temporary, and Contractual requirements, Cathrine is exceptionally adept at ensuring specifications are consistently met and exceeded. Cathrine supports the division by strengthening our teams, promoting synergy and collaboration across the Group.

Beth Devereux

With a background in Customer Service, Beth joined the business in 2016. Since then, Beth has established herself, providing vital support with compliance, administration, and ensures the welfare of our Temporary Workforce. With a keen eye for detail, Beth ensures we have everything we need to maintain a swift, efficient, and compliant service to both our clients and candidates Group-wide.

As part of our Temporary’s team, Mya has applied her supervisory and customer satisfaction experience to develop a hardworking and trusted Temporary Workforce, enabling her to have the best calibre of candidates ready to meet our client’s requirements. Mya is always on hand to offer a quick and responsive service to businesses across Surrey, Hampshire, and beyond.

Alisha joined our Farnham office in 2023 with a background in Hospitality and Customer Service. Since joining, Alisha has developed her skills, allowing her to identify top talent and skilfully match them to our client's opportunities. Alisha works alongside our other Consultants to source candidates and build client relationships. By expanding upon her knowledge of the professional recruitment sector, Alisha will continue to develop a rewarding career within Recruitment.

With extensive experience in Administration and Sales, Natalie progressed within the division becoming a Senior Recruitment Consultant (Permanents). Working alongside our Hastings team, Natalie supports a wide range of organisations across the UK, providing Permanent recruitment solutions to fulfil their staffing needs, priding herself on customer service excellence. Natalie also assists with our Temporaries division, working closely with each member of the team.

Working closely alongside Kaitlynn and Mya, Patrick joined our Hastings team in 2024 as a Temporaries Consultant.

Following a successful career within Healthcare recruitment, Patrick brings with him vast experience in placing exceptional candidates with his clients, fulfilling their temporary staffing needs.

Lauren Cutts

Group HRBP

Lauren joined the Group in 2022 having previously worked within the Aerospace and Defence sector. She has completed her Masters in Human Resource Management and is currently working towards gaining her Chartership membership of the CIPD Level 7. She brings with her a breadth of experience across many people disciplines to form and build our HR function.

Jonathan King

Group Financial Controller

Jonathan joined the business in May 2020 bringing with him strong commercial business experience to help reorganise and streamline the finance function. His CIMA accreditation and on-going studies help support and lead the Finance function with his role particularly focused on controls, process improvement, working capital management, budgeting & forecasting, while providing commercial support to Sammons customer-facing teams.

Ruth Springate

Finance Assistant

With over 30 years of experience working within Accounts, 20 of which were gained within the Hospitality industry, Ruth has been with the Group for over 5 years and is an instrumental player in ensuring the smooth running of our Accounts Team. Ruth supports our Hastings and Pensions teams with all aspects of accounting, payroll, invoicing and credit control.

Katarzyna Rog

Finance Assistant

With a background in Hospitality, Kat joined the Group in 2022 to start her career in Finance, while pursuing her professional studies with the AAT. Since joining, Kat has successfully completed her Level 2 qualification, and is currently completing her Level 4, before starting her ACCA exams. Kat supports our Farnham team with all their accounting needs relating to Clients and Candidates, as well as supporting our Group Financial Controller with budgets, forecasts and financial planning activities.
